Description

The PWS MK1 MOD 2-M complete lower is built for the shooter who wants a properly outfitted AR-15 lower without sourcing and fitting individual components. It ships with every functional piece in place, so pairing it with a mil-spec upper is a straightforward drop-in exercise rather than an assembly project.

The receiver itself is forged from 7075-T651 aluminum — the same alloy specification used in aerospace structural members — and finished in Mil-Spec Type III Class 2 hard coat anodize. That process drives aluminum oxide into the surface rather than sitting on top of it, which means the finish resists abrasion even where the receiver contacts other components during disassembly. The Kodiak Brown anodize is a limited-run color, so availability on this variant is not guaranteed to return.

Where this lower earns its price is in the control package. Ambidextrous bolt hold, bolt release, magazine release, and a Radian Talon ambidextrous safety selector mean left-handed shooters get a fully functional platform rather than a compromised one. The PWS enhanced buffer tube pairs with a ratchet-lock castle nut and endplate, which eliminates the need to stake the castle nut — the ratchet mechanism maintains tension mechanically. A PWS H2 buffer is included, which adds mass over a standard carbine buffer and slows the bolt carrier’s rearward travel, softening the impulse felt at the shoulder. The mil-spec enhanced trigger carries a PTFE coating that reduces friction in the fire control group without requiring a drop-in cassette. Stock and pistol grip are B5 Systems components in matching Kodiak Brown. The receiver is marked MULTI, accepting standard mil-spec AR-15 uppers across a range of chamberings.
