Description
The PWS MK1 Mod 2-M complete lower is built for shooters who want a fully ambidextrous, ready-to-run platform without assembling components piecemeal. It ships with every control already sorted for left- or right-hand operation: an ambidextrous bolt hold, bolt release, magazine release, and a Radian Talon ambidextrous safety selector. That last item matters because the Talon uses a positive-detent design that keeps selector positions distinct under gloved hands or high round counts, rather than relying on friction alone.
The receiver itself is forged from 7075-T651 aluminum and finished in a Mil-Spec Type III Class 2 hard coat anodize, a process that builds a hard oxide layer into the surface rather than sitting on top of it, which holds up to holster and case wear better than paint or cerakote over bare aluminum. It is marked “CAL. MULTI,” so it pairs with any mil-spec AR-15 upper without caliber-specific rollmarks creating a mismatch on the lower.
The included PWS enhanced carbine buffer tube runs a 4.5 oz H2 buffer, which adds mass relative to a standard carbine buffer. That extra weight slows the bolt carrier’s rearward travel, giving the action more time to depressurize before extraction — a practical benefit when running ammunition on the hotter end of the pressure spectrum. The ratchet-lock castle nut and end plate eliminate the need for staking, and the end plate carries a built-in QD sling socket. Furniture is Magpul MOE SL stock and MOE K2 pistol grip. The mil-spec enhanced trigger breaks between 5.5 and 6.5 pounds with a PTFE coating that reduces friction through the pull cycle. An upper tensioning screw lets you take up any fit variation between the upper and lower without hand-fitting. Covered by PWS’s limited lifetime warranty.
