Description

The Radian Weapons A-DAC 15 is a stripped lower receiver built for shooters who want fully ambidextrous control over every critical function of an AR-15 platform — not just the safety selector, but the bolt catch and magazine release as well. It suits left-handed shooters who have had to work around a right-hand-biased design, and right-handed shooters who want the ability to run the bolt catch without breaking their firing grip.

The centerpiece is Radian’s patented A-DAC system — Ambidextrous Dual Action Catch. To lock the bolt to the rear, a right-handed shooter pulls the charging handle rearward, presses the right-side magazine release button, and eases the charging handle forward. The bolt stays back without requiring the shooter to reach across the receiver or shift their grip. That is a meaningful procedural change during a reload, particularly under stress or when running the rifle from an unconventional position.

Complementing the A-DAC is the Talon 45/90 ambidextrous safety selector, which ships with both long and short levers so shooters can configure the throw angle and lever length to match their grip and thumb geometry. The SART — Self-Adjusting Receiver Tensioner — is a spring-loaded plunger that takes up slack between the upper and lower receivers, reducing the wobble common to mil-spec fits without requiring lapping or shimming.

The receiver is machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum with an integral trigger guard and a flared magazine well. The finish is Radian Black Cerakote over a Mil-Spec Type III hard anodize base. All proprietary hardware ships with the receiver, including the extended bolt catch, left-side magazine release paddle, right-side magazine release and bolt release components, and the hammer pin.
