Description

The Radian AX556 Builder Kit is aimed at shooters who want to construct a fully ambidextrous AR-15 from a single, coordinated parts package rather than sourcing components piecemeal and hoping they play well together. Everything in the kit is designed around the AX556 lower receiver, which means the ambidextrous controls — bolt catch and release, magazine release, and safety selector — are integrated into the platform rather than retrofitted afterthoughts with their own fitment variables.

The Raptor-SD charging handle works from either side with equal leverage, which matters during reloads or malfunction clearances under stress, particularly for left-handed shooters who otherwise have to work around a right-biased charging handle. The Talon 45/90 safety selector ships user-configurable: set it to 45 degrees for a shorter throw that keeps your grip more consistent during the fire-to-safe transition, or run it at 90 degrees if that geometry suits your training background.

The 14-inch M-LOK handguard gives you real estate for a full extended grip without crowding a muzzle device, and the M-LOK interface keeps the profile slim — no quad-rail bulk until you choose to add it. The billet upper and lower receivers are CNC-machined aluminum, and the kit includes an aluminum barrel nut and wrench, so barrel installation does not require sourcing tooling separately. Anti-rotation pins on the upper are already installed, eliminating a common assembly step that trips up first-time builders. The whole package ships ready to accept a barrel, bolt carrier group, stock, and trigger — the core decisions that define how your finished rifle actually shoots.
