Description
The Radian Guardian is a direct replacement for the standard Glock MOS adapter plate, built for shooters who run a Trijicon RMR on a MOS-equipped Glock and want something more substantial than the factory solution. Where a standard plate does little more than bridge the gap between slide and optic, the Guardian wraps around three sides of the RMR, providing a machined hood that absorbs and deflects impacts that would otherwise reach the optic housing. That protection matters most during force-on-force training, vehicle work, or any context where a holstered or handled pistol is likely to take hits.
Construction starts with billet 7075 aluminum, which is meaningfully stiffer and harder than the 6061 alloy common in less demanding applications, and the finished surface receives a Type III hard coat anodize. Rather than threading directly into the aluminum body — which can wallow out over repeated mounting cycles — Radian uses replaceable 416 stainless steel T-posts that accept the mounting screws. Because the stainless inserts carry the thread engagement, replacing a damaged thread means swapping an insert rather than the entire plate. The STUD-LOK interface uses a threaded stud and self-locking sleeve nut arrangement that resists the shear forces a reciprocating slide generates with each shot. TRU-SEAL O-rings close the joint between plate and slide, blocking moisture at the interface rather than relying on a separate sealing plate.
Integrated into the rear of the protective hood is a set of backup iron sights sized to co-witness through the RMR window. The package ships with mounting screws, O-rings, STUD-LOK studs, and self-locking sleeve nuts. Compatible with Glock MOS models including the 17, 19, 22, 23, 34, and 40.
