Description

The Radian Talon-GI is a single-sided safety selector built for AR-15 shooters who want a cleaner left-side profile without a weak-side lever, and who want the option to run either a standard 90-degree throw or a shorter 45-degree throw without pulling the selector from the lower. The conversion happens at the lever, not the shaft, so there is no disassembly of the lower required to reconfigure it. That matters in practice: a 45-degree throw shortens the arc your thumb travels between Safe and Fire, which can reduce the time it takes to get on target, though it also narrows the tactile gap between the two positions — a trade-off worth considering depending on how and where you train.

The center shaft is machined from hardened steel with a black nitride finish, which provides corrosion resistance and a hard wearing surface at the point of highest rotational wear. The lever itself is machined from 7075-T6 billet aluminum, chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio over softer aluminum alloys. Retention between lever and shaft uses a spring-loaded stud rather than a set screw, so there is no fastener to back out under recoil or during a hot range session. The dovetail interface between lever and shaft is what keeps indexing consistent — the lever seats the same way every time it is installed. Safe and Fire positions are marked directly on the selector. The assembly is made in the USA. This variant ships in Radian Grey with a single long lever included.
