The core of what makes the Talon useful is its modular throw adjustment. The selector shaft can be rotated 180 degrees inside the lower receiver to switch between a standard 90-degree throw and a 45-degree short-throw configuration — no parts to swap, no tools required beyond what the installation itself demands. That flexibility matters because short-throw safeties reduce wrist travel during disengagement, which some shooters prefer for speed, while others favor the positive, unmistakable feel of the full 90-degree detent.
