Description

The Radian Model 1 complete upper is built for shooters who want a ready-to-run, precision-oriented AR-15 upper without sourcing and fitting individual components. It suits the competitive shooter, the serious trainer, or anyone who runs their rifle hard enough to care about parts quality from the factory.

The mid-length direct impingement gas system is a deliberate choice. Compared to a carbine-length system, the longer dwell time and increased distance between the gas port and the bolt carrier group reduce the bolt’s unlocking speed and spread recoil impulse over a slightly longer cycle. The result is a softer, more manageable shot-to-shot feel, which matters in strings of fire where muzzle control dictates your time between accurate shots.

The 1:8 twist rate threads the needle between the two common AR extremes. It stabilizes projectiles in the 55–77 grain range reliably, which covers the bulk of practical .223 Wylde ammunition — including the heavier 77-grain match loads that benefit most from a faster spin than a 1:9 provides, without over-spinning lighter varmint bullets the way a 1:7 can. The .223 Wylde chamber itself is cut to tighter lead and throat dimensions than a standard 5.56 NATO chamber, which generally produces better accuracy with .223 Remington match ammunition while still accepting 5.56 NATO pressure loads.

The upper ships optic-ready, so your choice of sighting system is unrestricted. The 15-inch M-LOK free-float handguard removes the barrel from any contact with the rail, eliminating pressure points that shift point of impact.
