Description

The Radian Weapons Model 1 Complete Upper is built for shooters who want a precision-ready platform without the assembly compromises that come from mixing parts. Every upper is hand-assembled and function-tested by a single gunsmith before it leaves the shop, which keeps quality control personal rather than statistical.

The receiver and handguard are CNC-machined together as a matched set from billet 7075-T6 aluminum, then pinned with a stainless steel anti-rotation pin where they meet. That integrated construction eliminates the flex point common to separately sourced components, which tightens the relationship between barrel and support and contributes to the sub-MOA accuracy guarantee Radian backs with Black Hills match-grade ammunition.

The barrel is 416R stainless steel with a polished crown and feed ramps. The .223 Wylde chamber sits between SAAMI .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO geometry: it accepts both cartridge types while maintaining the tighter leade of a match chamber, so you are not choosing between commercial ammunition compatibility and accuracy. The 16-inch barrel runs a mid-length gas system, which spaces the gas port farther down the tube than a carbine-length setup. That longer dwell time and the added distance reduce the impulse spike at the bolt carrier, producing a softer, more linear recoil impulse that is easier to manage on follow-up shots.

The handguard uses Magpul M-LOK slots for accessories and leaves the top rail continuous with the upper receiver, keeping a flat optic mounting surface. Controls are fully ambidextrous, and the Radian Raptor-SD charging handle is included — a suppressor-optimized design that vents gas bilaterally to reduce blowback into the shooter’s face when running a suppressor.
