Description

The Radian AFTERBURNER and RAMJET make up a single integrated system for shooters who want meaningful recoil reduction on a carry-size pistol without the fitment headaches of a conventional threaded barrel and separately sourced compensator. The RAMJET barrel is machined from 416R stainless steel, a grade chosen for its dimensional stability and resistance to heat under sustained fire. The AFTERBURNER compensator is machined from hardened stainless steel and mates to it through Radian’s patented INTRA-LOK taper-lock interface rather than barrel threads. That distinction matters: thread timing on a conventional comp setup requires either a permanent solution or a timing kit, and small variations in thread engagement change where the ports end up. INTRA-LOK removes that variable by indexing the compensator on a precision taper, then securing it with a single screw. The comp goes back to the same position every time it’s reinstalled, so port geometry stays consistent after cleaning or field disassembly.

Both components carry Radian’s Radianite finish, which the manufacturer describes as providing high surface hardness and low friction alongside corrosion resistance. The Bronze Radianite on this configuration is a true finish designation, not a base metal color. The system is built specifically around the Ruger RXM platform and does not rely on a threaded muzzle, which means the host barrel is left unmodified. Recoil reduction comes from redirecting propellant gas through the compensator’s port geometry to counter muzzle rise at the moment of firing, giving the shooter a flatter sight picture between shots. The combo ships as a matched pair, already fitted to work together rather than requiring the shooter to source and time individual components.
