Description

The Radian Model 1 Builder Kit is aimed at the shooter who wants to start a precision AR-15 build on a foundation that removes the usual compromises between fit, finish, and structural integrity. It pairs a billet upper receiver with a matched 15.5-inch M-LOK handguard, both CNC machined as a set so the interface between them is consistent rather than an afterthought. That billet construction—cut from 7075-T6 aluminum—adds material in areas where a forged receiver carries less, which translates to a stiffer platform under sustained use or when running heavier optics and accessories at the rail ends.

The handguard attaches to the barrel nut via four steel cross bolts finished in black nitride for corrosion resistance, a retention method that distributes clamping force more evenly than a single-nut system and helps preserve the handguard’s return-to-zero relationship with the upper. M-LOK slots run the length of the tube, keeping the exterior profile slim while leaving accessory placement entirely to the builder. Every exterior edge is chamfered—a detail that matters less in a display case and more after a long day handling the rifle.

The upper ships assembled with a dust cover, forward assist, and the Raptor-SD ambidextrous charging handle. The Raptor-SD is designed around suppressor use, with enlarged latches that remain easy to operate when the shooter’s hand is displaced by back-pressure or when working from a barricade. The AX556 lower receiver completes the kit, giving the builder a matched aesthetic in Radian Grey Cerakote across all three major components. What this kit does not include is a lower parts kit, stock, or barrel—intentional, so the builder retains control over trigger group, buffer system, and chambering.
