The Radian Weapons Take Down Pin Set is a direct replacement for the standard AR15/M16 takedown and pivot pins, aimed at shooters who want smoother, more reliable upper-to-lower separation without fighting stiff or poorly fitted hardware. Both pins are precision CNC machined from steel and finished in black nitride, which bonds to the surface at a molecular level rather than sitting on top of it — the result is a finish that resists wear and corrosion at the contact points where bare metal would otherwise get worked down over time.

The more practical design detail is in the detents and springs included in the kit. The detents are captured to their springs, meaning the spring and detent travel as a single unit rather than as two separate parts that can fly across a workbench or range table during installation.
