Description

The Reptilia AUS is a full-service scope mount built for shooters who run magnified optics hard and need the mount to stay out of the way — mechanically and physically. It is machined as a single piece from 7075-T6 aluminum billet, which eliminates the flex and shift points that come with two-piece ring-and-base setups. A one-piece construction also means your zero is tied to a single interface with the rail rather than three or four, and there is less to come loose under sustained fire or rough handling.

Attachment to the M1913 Picatinny rail is handled by a spring-loaded nitrided steel clamp with a custom bolt system. The nitriding hardens the steel contact surfaces against galling and corrosion without adding meaningful weight, and the spring-loaded design is intentionally anti-snag — the clamp geometry is profiled so it does not catch on gear, slings, or barriers when the rifle is moving quickly. The 1.70-inch bore height positions the optical centerline high enough to clear standard AR-pattern upper receivers with most 34mm riflescopes, while leaving room for a comfortable cheek weld with an adjustable stock at normal field positions.

The exterior is finished in Flat Dark Earth hard anodize to MIL-STD Type III, Class 2 specification. That process drives the anodize layer into the aluminum rather than coating over it, which preserves dimensional tolerances at the ring interior and keeps the surface wear-resistant without requiring ongoing maintenance. At 165 grams, the mount adds meaningful but not excessive weight for the structural return it provides. This is a purpose-built solution for 34mm optics on precision or designated marksman rifles where mount integrity directly affects whether your dope holds from session to session.
