Description
The Sig Sauer Alpha MSR scope mount is built for Modern Sporting Rifles and the shooters who run them hard. Its one-piece construction means the scope tube sits in a single machined body rather than two separate rings, which eliminates the alignment headaches that come with trying to lap or torque independent rings into agreement. The result is a more consistent return-to-zero after removal and reattachment, which matters any time the optic has to come off the rifle for transport or storage.
The 30mm bore diameter is sized for the current generation of mid-to-large objective scopes that have become standard on precision and designated-marksman builds. A tube that fits the optic without adapters or shims keeps the optical axis exactly where the mount designer intended it, preserving the full adjustment range the scope was built to deliver.
The 1.535-inch centerline height is a deliberate choice for AR-pattern rifles. Getting the optical axis up to that height brings the sight line close enough to the bore axis that standard AR cheekweld geometry works without a riser, while still clearing most 40mm to 56mm objective bells. The Coyote Brown finish coordinates with rifles and furniture already wearing Flat Dark Earth or similar earth-tone patterns without being an exact match that looks off when the lighting changes.
Sig Sauer built this mount from aluminum alloy, keeping weight down without sacrificing the rigidity that a precision optic needs to hold zero under recoil.
