Description

The Reptilia AUS mount is built for shooters who run 35mm riflescopes on AR-pattern rifles and need a mount that holds zero under hard use without adding unnecessary complexity. The AUS system uses a lever-actuated clamping mechanism rather than traditional cap screws, which means the mount can be removed and reinstalled on a Picatinny rail repeatedly without requiring a torque wrench to return to the same clamping force each time—a meaningful advantage when the optic needs to come off for transport or maintenance and go back on ready to fire.

The 1.54-inch bore height is sized to co-witness with standard AR iron sights through most 35mm scopes, placing the optical axis at a height that suits a cheekweld on a standard or mil-spec stock without requiring significant head position adjustment. The mount is machined aluminum finished in Type III hardcoat anodize in black, which provides a harder, more abrasion-resistant surface than standard Type II anodize and resists the corrosion that builds up around ring-to-tube interfaces over time.

At 77mm in tube contact length, the AUS provides enough clamping surface to keep a full-size 35mm scope stable under recoil from centerfire rifle cartridges without stressing the scope body.
