The BCM A/T Optic Riser 525-11 is built for shooters who want to run a red dot alongside a magnifier, night vision, or thermal — systems that need the optic centerline raised above where a standard mount puts it. By lifting that centerline 0.525 inches, it brings lower-third co-witness optics to roughly 2.16 inches and absolute co-witness optics to roughly 1.93 inches above the rail, which is enough clearance to nose a magnifier or NVG unit behind the sight without the two interfering with each other.
The riser is machined from aircraft aluminum alloy and hard coat anodized to Mil-A-8625F. The clamp — the part doing the actual gripping work — is steel, hardened with a nitride coating. Where the riser contacts the Picatinny rail, BCM uses their A/T (Angled Torque) interface: a patented clamp geometry that drives force at an angle rather than straight down, which BCM says produces roughly twice the clamping force at the same applied torque compared to a conventional horizontal interface. Twelve integral recoil lugs distributed along the underside resist both recoil and counter-recoil impulse, so zero is maintained through sustained firing.
The low-profile A/T stalk keeps the overall package snag-resistant and leaves the full length of the host rail accessible on either side. The riser’s Mil-Std 1913 top surface accepts optics and accessories in any position along its 4.5-inch length, giving you genuine flexibility when spacing a sight and a magnifier relative to each other. This is the 11-slot (12-lug) variant, intended for use with optics that occupy enough rail space to benefit from the full platform rather than a shorter riser.
