Description
The Reptilia CQG-NB is a pistol grip designed around the specific demands of compact AR-platform builds — short-barreled rifles, AR pistols, pistol-caliber carbines, and PDWs — where a standard grip geometry can work against the shooter rather than with them. The core idea is a more pronounced vertical angle than a traditional A2 grip, which encourages the hand to ride higher on the grip frame. That higher hand position tightens the shooter’s mechanical connection to the rifle, reducing the leverage the muzzle has over wrist and forearm during recoil.
The “NB” designation means No-Beavertail. Where the standard CQG extends upward into the thumb-web area to fill that space, the CQG-NB removes it entirely. The result is a grip profile that feels closer to the classic A2, which suits shooters who find the beavertail intrusive or who simply prefer that handed-down geometry without sacrificing the CQG’s improved vertical angle and texture. Anti-slip texture runs along both the front and rear of the grip, so purchase holds in conditions where a smooth surface would let the hand shift.
Construction is toughened, reinforced nylon — a material choice that keeps weight down to 2.7 oz while providing the rigidity the grip needs to stay consistent under hard use. The grip fits AR-15 and AR-10 pattern lowers, including the SR-25, Sig Sauer MCX, and FN SCAR-16 and SCAR-17, along with other platforms built to accept standard AR-15 pistol grips. It ships without a backstrap panel. Manufactured in the USA.
