Description
The Reptilia DOT Mount is built for shooters who run an Aimpoint ACRO and want a mounting solution that doesn’t compromise on either weight or rigidity. Machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum, the mount keeps mass low without sacrificing the structural integrity needed to hold zero under hard use. The minimalist profile eliminates unnecessary material wherever possible, which matters when every ounce on a carbine or pistol-caliber platform affects handling over a long range session or course of fire.
The lower 1/3 co-witness height is a deliberate design choice rather than a default. At this position, your backup iron sights sit in the lower portion of the ACRO’s window rather than splitting the sight picture at center. That keeps the dot uncluttered during normal use while still allowing a solid iron-sight reference if the optic fails — you acquire the irons by dropping your eye slightly rather than fighting a fully co-witnessed post that bisects the dot. The mount attaches to any standard 1913 Picatinny rail, making it compatible with the vast majority of AR-platform uppers and other Picatinny-equipped hosts without adapters or shimming.
The Flat Dark Earth Anodized finish is a Type III hard anodize, giving the aluminum a wear-resistant surface that holds up to holster draw, field handling, and weather without adding appreciable weight. Reptilia manufactures the DOT Mount in the USA. This variant — MPN 100-027 — is specific to the Aimpoint ACRO footprint and should not be confused with Reptilia’s visually similar mounts designed for the T-1/T-2 series.
