Description

The Reptilia ROF-45 is built for shooters running a magnified primary optic who need a reliable, fast path to a non-magnified red dot without breaking their cheek weld or losing time. Mounting at 45 degrees off the rail, it lets you cant the rifle slightly to bring the Trijicon RMR or SRO into your line of sight, sidestepping the performance ceiling of a traditional 12 o’clock offset entirely. That geometry suits competitive 3-gun shooters and anyone whose close-range transitions under magnification feel slower than they should.

The mount is machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum, the same alloy specification common to mil-spec rifle receivers, which keeps weight down without sacrificing the rigidity a zero-retention mount demands. At 27 grams, it adds almost nothing to the rifle’s balance. The finish is a MIL-STD Type III hardcoat anodize in Flat Dark Earth, which is harder and more abrasion-resistant than standard Type II anodizing and holds up through the kind of contact that comes with regular field use. The color matches Reptilia’s own FDE family and coordinates with common FDE furniture without requiring an exact dye-lot match.

The 34mm height positions the RMR or SRO at a consistent cheek weld for most AR-platform stocks, avoiding the compromised sight picture that comes from mounting too low and forcing the shooter to lift their head. There are no co-witness concerns to manage here — the offset angle takes the optic entirely out of the bore axis plane, which is the point.
