Description

The Reptilia DOT Mount is built for shooters who want a dedicated, purpose-machined mounting solution for Aimpoint Micro T-1 and T-2 footprint optics rather than relying on the hardware that ships with the sight. The lower 1/3 co-witness geometry positions the red dot so that standard AR-15 backup iron sights sit in the lower third of the optic’s field of view, keeping them immediately accessible without cluttering your primary sight picture during normal shooting.

The mount is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, a grade chosen for its high strength-to-weight ratio, and the body is finished in a Mil-spec Type III hard anodized Black that resists wear and corrosion without adding appreciable thickness. A spring-loaded nitrided steel clamp and mounting bolt secure the assembly to any M1913 Picatinny rail, and the spring-loading allows consistent, repeatable installation without needing to juggle loose components during setup. At 51 grams, the mount adds very little to the overall system weight, which matters when a micro red dot is already chosen in part because of its compact profile. The package includes mounting screws and a hex L-key, so nothing additional is required to get the optic onto the rail.
