Description
The Reptilia ROF-45 is built for shooters who run a magnified scope but need a reliable close-range optic within reach. It mounts a Trijicon RMR at a 45-degree offset on a 30mm scope ring, so you can transition from your primary glass to a red dot by rotating the rifle rather than swapping equipment or breaking your cheek weld on a separate mount. The geometry keeps the RMR as close as possible to the host scope’s centerline, which matters when you’re picking up the dot on a fast target transition — a sloppy offset adds both physical bulk and a larger parallax correction to manage.
The ROF-45 is designed specifically as a drop-in addition to the Reptilia AUS Mount or a Geissele Super Precision 30mm optic mount. That specificity is the point: it’s not a universal clamp-on, it’s a purpose-fitted component that indexes to a known platform so the RMR sits in a consistent, repeatable position. Machined from aluminum and finished in black anodize, the mount adds minimal weight while keeping the optic stable under recoil. For anyone training with a magnified optic and wanting a faster option at short range without switching to a different host rifle, the ROF-45 addresses that gap without requiring a dedicated secondary weapon system.
