Description

The Reptilia Low Profile Rail (LPR) was developed in direct response to end-user demand for a way to mount an aiming laser as close to an M-LOK handguard surface as possible. That matters for two practical reasons: the tighter the laser sits to the bore axis, the smaller the offset between the aiming point and point of impact at any given distance, and the less the device protrudes beyond the handguard’s profile, where it would otherwise catch on gear, barriers, or a shooting bag.

Reptilia machines the LPR from billet 7075-T6 aluminum, a grade chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio in structural applications. The exterior finish is a MIL-STD Type III Hard Coat Anodize, which is a thicker, harder anodize class than standard Type II and provides meaningful abrasion resistance without adding appreciable thickness to the rail body. The mounting hardware uses FNC nitride coating rather than standard plating, which improves corrosion resistance on the small-diameter fasteners that are most vulnerable to surface wear during field use.

The result is a mounting solution that keeps a laser body flush against the handguard rather than standing proud of it — a meaningful difference for anyone running a white-light and laser setup on a rifle that sees hard use. The LPR is finished in Reptilia’s standard black anodize and accepts standard Picatinny-compatible accessories along its rail surface.
