Description

The Rugged Fixed Mount is a purpose-built suppressor mounting accessory for carbine and subgun platforms with fixed barrels. It is not a universal adapter — it exists to solve a specific mechanical problem: the Obsidian 45/9 suppressor ships with a booster assembly designed for blowback pistol hosts, where the suppressor body needs to recoil slightly with each shot. On a fixed-barrel host such as a carbine, that booster becomes unnecessary and can actually work against reliable mounting. The Fixed Mount replaces the booster entirely, giving the suppressor a solid, non-moving interface with the barrel. The result is a more stable connection that does not depend on spring tension to maintain alignment.

The 5/8″-24 thread pattern matches the muzzle thread standard common to pistol-caliber carbines and larger-bore subgun barrels, making this the correct choice when your host combines a fixed barrel with that thread pitch. It is worth noting what this mount does not do: it is not compatible with Rugged’s 3 Lug Mount system, and it is not used alongside the Fixed Barrel Spacer — each of those accessories addresses a different installation scenario.
