Its variable fluted prong design works to eliminate the ring of fire — the telltale circular flash signature that fixed-geometry prong hiders can produce at the edges of each prong — while still delivering meaningful flash reduction across the full muzzle blast.

What sets this device apart from a standard flash hider in a suppressor-oriented system is the Dual Taper Locking interface. Rather than using teeth or a traditional ratchet, the tapered locking geometry lets the R3 seat and release cleanly without the snag points that toothed systems introduce.
