The Oculus 22 is Rugged Suppressors’ answer to a rimfire suppressor that earns its keep across more than one role. Whether it’s an afternoon of casual plinking, varmint work, or putting a suppressed pistol-caliber platform to use, this can handles the range of cartridges a dedicated rimfire shooter actually runs — .22 LR, .22 WMR, .17 HMR, .17 WSM, and 5.7x28mm — without requiring a separate can for each.

What makes the Oculus 22 practically useful is its ADAPT modular design, which lets you run it in two distinct configurations. The standard configuration gives you the full baffle stack and maximum sound attenuation. The short, or K, configuration sheds length and weight when you’re running a compact host and don’t want the can overhanging the muzzle. You lose some decibel reduction in the shorter setup, but you gain a noticeably better-balanced package — a real trade-off worth considering depending on what you’re mounting it to.

Construction throughout is 17-4PH stainless steel, a grade chosen for its resistance to the corrosive fouling that rimfire ammunition deposits more aggressively than centerfire. That material choice also makes the Oculus 22 rated for belt-fed use, which reflects genuine over-engineering for the sustained heat and pressure that would stress lesser construction. The Black Cerakote finish protects the exterior from the same fouling and from handling wear. Disassembly for cleaning is handled by the included end cap tool, and the design is built to be user-serviceable rather than requiring a trip back to the factory. It threads onto a standard 1/2″-28 muzzle.
