Description
The Rugged Suppressors 3 Port Brake serves two distinct purposes depending on how you run your rifle. On its own, the three-port design vents propellant gas upward and to the sides to counter muzzle rise and reduce felt recoil, which matters when you are shooting unsuppressed and want faster target reacquisition without adding a suppressor to the equation. The second function is where the design earns its keep: it incorporates Rugged’s Dual Taper Lock system, which lets you mount a compatible Rugged suppressor quickly and return to zero reliably across multiple hosts. That matters practically if you are rotating one suppressor between several rifles rather than dedicating a can to each barrel.
The bore is cut to .30 caliber, so the brake is not a pinhole 5.56-only design — it is sized to allow projectiles from both 5.56 and true 7.62 hosts to pass through cleanly. Rugged lists compatibility with the Radiant762, Surge 7.62, Razor 7.62, and Micro30 suppressors, so if you are already running one of those cans, this brake integrates directly without adapters. The 1/2″-28 thread pitch fits standard AR-pattern barrels chambered in 5.56 NATO and similar cartridges, and the brake can be used as a standalone permanent muzzle device on shorter barrels where overall rifle length is a concern. Finish is matte black, consistent with Rugged’s standard hardware lineup.
