The Rugged Suppressors Obsidian 3 Lug Adapter is built for shooters who run an Obsidian9 suppressor and want a faster, more secure mounting option than a traditional threaded interface. The three-lug system — the same geometry found on HK-platform barrels — locks the suppressor into place with a short rotational movement rather than threading it on, which means the can goes on and comes off in seconds and indexes to the same position every time.

This adapter threads onto a standard 9mm pistol or PCC barrel with a 1/2″-28 thread, converting it to a tri-lug profile without any permanent modification to the host. That matters if you run multiple hosts but want to keep your Obsidian9 moving between them: each barrel gets an adapter, and the suppressor snaps between them without tools. Rugged Suppressors recommends securing the adapter to the barrel with red threadlocker at 20–25 ft-lbs of torque, so it stays put under sustained fire but can be removed if you need to reconfigure.

One detail worth noting is that this adapter ships with a patented Go/No Go gauge, which lets you verify the three-lug dimensions are within spec before you ever mount the suppressor. That takes the guesswork out of fitment and gives you a concrete way to confirm the mount is properly seated. At roughly 1.35 oz, it adds negligible weight to the muzzle end of the host.
