The Rugged Universal Mount — R.U.M. — is a quick-detach adapter built for shooters who run Rugged’s suppressor ecosystem and want a rock-solid interface between their HUB-threaded suppressor and a muzzle device. The core job of this mount is to translate the 1.375×24 HUB thread standard into Rugged’s Dual Taper Locking System, which uses a tapered mechanical lockup to resist the rotational and axial forces that cause point-of-impact shift during extended firing. That matters practically: a mount that loosens under heat or sustained fire will walk your zero. The dual-taper geometry keeps the suppressor indexed to the same position every time it is attached or removed.

Beyond Rugged’s own muzzle devices, the R.U.M. is also compatible with industry-standard mounts in the same thread class, giving it real flexibility if your collection spans more than one suppressor platform. The body is stainless steel throughout, which handles the thermal cycling a suppressor mount sees without the dimensional creep that affects softer materials over time.
