Description
The Rugged Universal Mount exists to solve a specific problem: you have suppressors built around the 1.375×24 HUB or Bravo threading standard, and you want to run them on Rugged’s Dual Taper Locking System muzzle devices without buying separate dedicated mounts for each can. The R.U.M. bridges those two systems, letting a single muzzle device serve as the anchor point for a wide range of HUB-pattern suppressors from Rugged and other manufacturers alike.
The titanium version is machined from Grade 5 titanium, which is the same alloy used in precision aerospace and medical applications — it offers a strength-to-weight ratio that allows the mount to weigh in at 2.4 ounces. That matters when you consider that every gram hanging off the muzzle affects how the host rifle handles and balances. A lighter mount also means less additional weight when you are already carrying the suppressor itself.
Beyond weight, the design prioritizes repeatability. Detaching and reattaching a suppressor can introduce point-of-impact shift, which forces you to re-zero or accept degraded accuracy. The R.U.M.’s taper-lock interface is built to return the can to the same position each time, so your zero stays consistent across mounting cycles. A black nitride finish protects the exterior surfaces under hard use and heat cycling without adding meaningful bulk.
Compatibility extends well beyond Rugged’s own suppressor lineup. The 1.375×24 thread pattern is the HUB standard shared across suppressors from SilencerCo, Yankee Hill Machine, Otter Creek Labs, Energetic Armament, and others, making the R.U.M. a practical hub for a mixed suppressor collection built around that standard.
