Description

The SB Tactical HBPDW is a PDW-style pistol stabilizing brace designed for AR-platform pistols chambered in 9mm, and it was developed in collaboration with Q® as an adaptation of their Honey Badger design. Where a fixed or standard collapsible brace keeps the firearm at one length of pull, the HBPDW’s collapsible mechanism lets you dial in fit on the fly — useful when shooting from varied positions or while wearing gear that changes how the pistol sits against your forearm.

The design gives you an additional point of contact with the firearm, which translates directly to more consistent muzzle control during rapid strings. That matters more on a blowback or delayed-blowback 9mm platform than on a rifle-caliber build, because the reciprocating mass is heavier and the impulse character is different — the brace helps you manage that without adding significant bulk. At 21 ounces, the HBPDW adds meaningful stabilization without turning a compact pistol into a handling chore.

The buffer included with this 9mm-specific version is matched to standard AR9 platforms. If your lower uses CMMG’s Radial Delayed Blowback system, the included buffer will not fit — SB Tactical makes a separate 556/300BLK-spec HBPDW for that application. This is worth confirming before you order if your build is RDB-equipped. The brace ships in black and installs on a standard AR-15 lower receiver.
