The SBT5 is built for MP5-pattern pistols — specifically the single-push-pin platforms like the HK SP5, Century Arms AP5, Zenith ZF-5, and PTR 9CT — where a folding endplate makes the package dramatically more compact without sacrificing a secure shooting grip. If your pistol has two push pins rather than one, this brace will not fit, so confirm your receiver configuration before ordering.

SB Tactical developed the SBT5 in conjunction with B&T USA, modeling the design after B&T’s own stock for HK-pattern guns. The result is a side-folding mechanism integrated directly into the polymer endplate, which keeps the profile clean and eliminates the separate adapter hardware that older folding solutions required. Folding to the side rather than beneath the receiver means the pistol can still be fired from a standard grip position even when the brace is stowed — useful when working in tight spaces or during storage.

The brace itself is constructed from elasto-polymer, the same material SB Tactical uses across its product line, chosen for its resistance to impact and temperature variation without adding unnecessary weight. At 13.5 oz, it contributes modestly to the overall balance of a platform that already runs heavier than a comparable AR-format pistol, so placement and wrist support geometry matter. The adjustable nylon strap allows the fit to be dialed in for different shooters or different carry configurations. Color is black throughout.
