Description
The Element Hunter is Seekins Precision’s answer to a specific problem: building a rifle that can survive the wet, cold, and abusive conditions of mountain hunting without demanding the compromises that usually come with a lightweight chassis system. It is aimed at hunters who cover serious vertical gain and need a rifle that packs down small but shoots like a full-featured precision platform when it finally matters.
The barreled action pairs a carbon fiber wrapped stainless steel barrel with the Element M3 action. Carbon fiber wrapping reduces carried weight without sacrificing the stiffness a free-floated barrel needs to shoot consistently across temperature swings — relevant in country where morning and midday conditions can differ dramatically. The barrel is threaded, leaving the muzzle ready for a suppressor or brake without additional gunsmithing. The 1-in-8 inch twist rate is well suited to the heavier 7mm Remington Magnum projectiles that retain velocity and resist wind at the ranges mountain hunting often demands; handloaders and ammunition shoppers should lean toward projectiles at the heavier end of the 7mm selection to take full advantage of that stabilization.
The quick-change barrel collar and toolless three-lug bolt removal give the system real reconfiguration flexibility in the field rather than just on a workbench. The chassis stock folds for pack carry and deploys without tools, and the adjustable cheek piece lets a shooter dial fit for a specific optic mounting height rather than making do with a fixed comb. The full-length M-LOK rail on the fore end accepts bipods or other field hardware without adapters. One three-round carbon fiber magazine is included.
