Description
The Havak Element M3 is Seekins Precision’s answer to the hunter who needs a rifle light enough to carry hard country on foot but built around a cartridge with genuine long-range authority. The 277 Fury was developed to push heavy, high-BC bullets at velocities that most cartridges in this class can’t reach from a short action, and the 1-in-8 twist rate keeps that fast enough to stabilize the heavier projectiles that make the cartridge worth shooting at distance — if you’re planning to run lighter bullets, that twist will handle them fine, but the rifle is optimized for the heavy end of the 277 Fury selection.
The action is a hybrid of aluminum and steel rather than a conventional all-steel receiver, which sheds weight without sacrificing the bearing surfaces that matter for consistent headspacing and lockup. A three-lug bolt with a 60-degree throw shortens the lift required between shots, which matters on a cold morning with gloves on. Seekins’ patent-pending Quick-Change Barrel Collar means the barrel is not permanently bedded into the action, so a future rechamber or caliber swap is a practical option rather than a gunsmithing project. The barrel itself is 416R stainless steel with a carbon fiber wrap, a construction that trades the thermal mass of a full stainless tube for a significant reduction in carry weight while maintaining the corrosion resistance you want in exposed conditions.
The PH3 carbon composite stock includes an adjustable cheekpiece, which matters when you’re fitting a rifle to a specific scope height rather than compromising your weld. Full-length M-LOK allows accessories to be mounted without adapters, and the 20 MOA of built-in rail cant gives you usable elevation adjustment at extended ranges before you run out of scope travel. The TriggerTech trigger is adjustable, and the rifle ships with a Hunter muzzle brake already installed.
