The Havak Element M3 in the Mountain Shadow configuration is built for hunters and backcountry shooters who need a serious long-range tool they can actually carry all day. The platform combines a carbon fiber stock and carbon fiber barrel sleeve to keep the system light without sacrificing rigidity, which matters when the shot comes after a long approach on uneven ground.

The 20-inch barrel is shorter than what most precision rifle shooters default to, and that trade-off is deliberate. You give up a modest amount of muzzle velocity compared to a 24-inch tube, but you gain a rifle that clears timber, packs into a standard-length case, and handles better in tight positions. In 6.5 Creedmoor, the velocity loss at 20 inches is marginal enough that trajectory and terminal performance at hunting distances remain well within acceptable range.

The 1-in-8-inch twist is fast enough to stabilize the heavier, high-BC 6.5mm projectiles — the 140-grain class that makes this cartridge so capable at distance — without over-spinning lighter bullets. That means you have real flexibility in ammunition selection rather than being locked into one weight range.

The barrel is threaded, so the muzzle is ready for a brake or suppressor without any additional machining. The M3 action feeds from a carbon fiber magazine and ships with one three-round unit, keeping the magazine itself light in keeping with the rest of the rifle’s design philosophy. The Mountain Shadow camo finish on the stock blends the rifle into typical alpine and subalpine terrain, which reflects where this configuration is most at home.
