Description
The Seekins Precision HIT Precision Mount is built for shooters who need a scope mount that stays put under hard use without introducing complexity or added weight. It is machined from 7075 aluminum, a structural alloy that keeps the mount light while maintaining the rigidity needed to hold zero through repeated recoil cycles.
The defining feature of this mount is the S-LOCK wedge system. Rather than relying solely on torqued clamp screws to hold position on a Picatinny rail, the S-LOCK wedge fills the gap between rail slots mechanically. That direct contact with the rail’s cross-slots removes the small amount of play that a ring or mount relying on clamping force alone can exhibit, particularly after firing or during temperature changes. The result is that lateral and longitudinal movement on the rail is addressed at the hardware level rather than left entirely to torque maintenance.
Installation is straightforward. There are no levers, springs, or secondary clamps to manage, so setup does not require specialty tools or a calibration step beyond standard torque values. For a precision rifle build or a dedicated hunting setup where the scope needs to return to zero reliably after removal or hard transport, that mechanical simplicity is an advantage rather than a compromise. The 30mm tube diameter accommodates the most common bore size found on modern precision and long-range hunting scopes, and the 1.45-inch centerline height is appropriate for shooters running a standard cheekpiece or who prefer consistent head position across multiple platforms.
