Description

The Sig Sauer Echo RQ35 is built for hunters and shooters who work after dark — predator control, hog hunting, property surveillance, and any situation where you need to identify heat-producing targets before they identify you. It is a purpose-made thermal riflescope, not a clip-on or an add-on, so everything about it is sized and configured for rifle-mounted use from the start.

The 384×288 sensor resolution matters in practice because more pixels across the same scene means finer detail — the difference between confirming a coyote at distance and seeing an unresolved blob. Paired with a 12-micron pixel pitch, the sensor captures more spatial information per unit area than coarser-pitch alternatives, which translates to better target discrimination in cluttered backgrounds like tall grass or brush. The 50 Hz refresh rate keeps the image smooth when tracking moving animals, avoiding the stuttering motion that lower refresh rates produce during a pan or when quarry is running.

Variable 3.5-28x magnification gives the scope practical range across very different shooting scenarios. At the low end you have enough field of view for close, fast-moving targets; at the high end the magnification supports deliberate, longer-range shots where positive identification before the trigger breaks is not optional. The 35mm objective keeps the package compact enough to balance well on modern sporting rifles without adding unnecessary forward weight.

This is a new-for-2026 model, so it represents Sig Sauer’s current thermal platform rather than a carry-over from a prior generation.
