Description

The Sig Sauer FOXTROT2R is a compact weapon light built for shooters who need a reliable, dedicated white light on a handgun or long gun without adding unnecessary bulk. At just under three inches in length, it fits tight setups without crowding controls or interfering with holster compatibility on supported platforms.

The light outputs 700 lumens and 20,000 candela, and the distinction between those two figures matters: lumens describe raw light volume, while candela describes focused intensity. A high candela number relative to lumens means the beam is concentrated rather than diffuse, which translates to better target identification at distance rather than simply flooding the immediate area with light.

Sig uses FlexCore battery technology here, which is the practical flexibility that sets this light apart from fixed-cell designs. The FOXTROT2R ships with a rechargeable 16340 cell but will also accept a standard CR123A, so if your rechargeable is dead and you need the light running, you are not out of options. Runtime runs up to 1.5 hours at full output.

Activation is handled by ambidextrous paddles, and the light supports momentary, latching, and threshold modes with programmable activation — meaning you can configure the switch behavior to match your grip and draw rather than adapting to a fixed factory default. The housing is machined from 6061 aluminum with a Flat Dark Earth anodized finish, and the light carries an IPX7 waterproof rating. Attachment is via M1913 Picatinny rail with four-position sliding rail inserts to accommodate different rail section positions.
