Description

The P226 X-Five STAS is built for the competitive shooter or serious enthusiast who wants a full-size metal-frame pistol that can be tuned precisely to their technique rather than adapted to factory defaults. It is a purpose-built target and competition platform, not a carry gun with competition aspirations.

The single-action-only trigger removes the double-action first-shot requirement of a standard P226, giving every press the same short, consistent break. That predictability matters in timed strings where double-action pull weight variation is a variable you cannot afford. The AX3 trigger further refines this by offering independent adjustment for pull weight, over-travel, and trigger-shoe length-of-pull, so the pistol fits the hand rather than the hand fitting the pistol.

The five-inch bull barrel adds sight radius and concentrates mass forward. A longer barrel gives a faster-burning 9mm cartridge more time to stabilize before exit, which can tighten groups at distance — a meaningful advantage on precision stages. The stainless steel frame with Piranha G10 grips by Hogue adds to overall mass, which tends to reduce muzzle rise under recoil and helps return the front sight to the same point of aim between shots.

The fiber optic front sight pulls ambient light into a crisp reference point in normal and bright conditions, while the adjustable rear sight allows windage and elevation to be dialed in for a specific load. That rear plate is also removable for direct optic mounting using the standard PRO footprint, giving the shooter a path to a dot without an adapter riser. Three ten-round magazines are included.
