Description
The P226 X-Five Classic is a competition-oriented single-action pistol built for shooters who want a full-size platform tuned from the factory rather than assembled piecemeal from aftermarket components. It comes from Sig Custom Works, which means the fit and feature set are deliberate rather than nominal.
The single-action-only trigger is fully adjustable for pull weight, over-travel, and length-of-pull via a removable and repositionable trigger shoe. For a shooter transitioning from a DA/SA platform, that adjustability matters: you can dial the break closer to what your hands expect rather than adapting to a fixed factory setting. The stainless steel frame includes an extended beavertail that positions the hand higher on the bore axis, reducing muzzle rise under recoil. A Picatinny accessory rail runs forward of the trigger guard for light or laser mounting without additional modification.
The five-inch bull barrel extends the sight radius and adds mass at the front of the slide, both of which tend to smooth out the felt impulse on a pistol intended for sustained fire in competition. The slide carries front and rear cocking serrations and is optic-ready: the adjustable Dawson-style rear sight plate removes entirely to allow direct mounting of a Romeo1Pro, Romeo2, or any optic on the standard PRO footprint. As configured, the pistol ships with a fiber optic front sight and an adjustable rear, which is a sensible default for an indoor or outdoor range setup where a quick, high-contrast front reference is useful without committing to an optic. Custom Hogue Cocobolo wood grips give the frame a secure purchase without requiring grip tape or aftermarket panels. Three ten-round steel magazines with alloy base pads are included.
