Description

The P226 Legion in its optic-ready DA/SA configuration is built for the shooter who wants a full-size, metal-framed 9mm with a premium factory package rather than a modified stock gun. It suits competition shooters, serious range work, and anyone who prefers the deliberate first-pull discipline of a double-action/single-action trigger system over a striker-fired pistol.

The DA/SA trigger is the defining trade-off here. The first shot fires in double action — a longer, heavier pull that functions as a passive safety without a manual lever to disengage. Every subsequent shot fires in single action, with a shorter reset and lighter break. That inconsistency between shots one and two requires deliberate training, but it rewards shooters who put in that work with a very controllable follow-up trigger. The decocker lets you return the hammer to the double-action position safely, which matters if you carry or stage the gun loaded.

The alloy frame keeps felt recoil manageable at the cost of some weight compared to a polymer chassis, but on a full-size pistol that weight works in your favor during extended strings of fire. The slide is finished in Sig Sauer’s Legion Gray Cerakote, which is exclusive to the Legion series.
