Description
The P226 X Carry Legion SAO with ROMEO-X Pro is built for shooters who want the control advantages of a metal-frame pistol in a carry-oriented package, and who are willing to commit to a Single Action Only trigger to get there. SAO removes the long, heavier first pull of a DA/SA system entirely—every shot breaks from the same position with the same weight, which makes it easier to shoot accurately at speed, particularly under stress. The trade-off is that the pistol must be carried cocked and locked, which is why the ambidextrous manual safety is part of the design rather than an afterthought.
The 3.8-inch carbon steel bull barrel is shorter than a standard P226’s 4.4-inch tube, trimming overall length for concealment without giving up the all-metal frame’s recoil-absorbing mass. A bull barrel profile—thicker and unsupported by a conventional bushing—contributes to a consistent return to battery and helps manage muzzle movement during rapid strings. The factory-mounted ROMEO-X Pro arrives already zeroed to this slide system via SIG’s Sig-Loc Pro interface, a multi-point lockup that keeps the optic lower over the bore than adapter-plate arrangements and maintains zero through hard use. X-Ray3 day/night sights sit on the slide as co-witnesses, giving you a tritium-backed fallback if the optic fails or the battery runs out. Three 18-round magazines ship with the pistol, which is a meaningful head start for a serious training load. The Legion Gray Cerakote over both the aluminum alloy frame and stainless slide provides corrosion resistance that’s relevant for anyone actually carrying this gun against the body. G10 grip panels keep purchase consistent through sweat or cold, where smoother materials can become unreliable.
