Description
The P238 Two-Tone is built for concealed carry, specifically for shooters who want a single-action trigger in a micro-compact package. The 1911-derived single-action-only mechanism means the trigger breaks consistently at the same point every time, which matters when fine motor skills are compromised under stress. That predictability comes with a trade-off: the pistol must be carried with the manual thumb safety engaged, so a conscious swipe off-safe is part of every draw stroke. Shooters already comfortable with that discipline will find it natural.
The two-tone finish pairs a Stainless Bead Blast slide with a black anodized alloy frame. The bead blast treatment diffuses light rather than reflecting it, which keeps the slide from giving away a position in low light while remaining visually distinct from the frame. The frame itself is aluminum alloy, which keeps weight down without sacrificing the structural support the slide needs to cycle reliably.
SIGLITE night sights come standard on this variant. These are tritium-illuminated and function in complete darkness without batteries, which makes them more dependable than battery-dependent alternatives in a carry pistol that may sit for extended periods between range visits. The checkered rosewood Hogue grip panels improve purchase without adding aggressive texturing that can catch on clothing during a draw.
The pistol ships with two magazines — a flush-fit six-round unit and an extended seven-round unit with a finger rest. The seven-round magazine allows a full 7+1 capacity while giving the support hand a more secure grip, a meaningful difference given the pistol’s compact dimensions.
