Description

The P365 AXG DH3 is built for shooters who want a compact, optic-ready carry pistol with the weight and feel of a metal-framed gun rather than a polymer one. The AXG grip module is machined from aluminum alloy, which shifts the balance point and gives the hand a more positive purchase than a standard P365 frame — useful when you’re running a weapon light and an optic and need the gun to track predictably under recoil.

The slide is cut for SIG’s SIG-LOC Compact footprint, which uses additional contact points and a locking interface designed specifically for P365-sized slides. That matters because it gives an optic a more mechanically secure mount than a standard aftermarket plate system, and certain SIG-LOC optics like the ROMEO-X sit low enough to allow co-witness with the factory X-RAY3 day/night sights the pistol already ships with. If you later swap optics, you’re shopping in a defined ecosystem rather than a universal footprint, which is a real constraint worth knowing upfront.

The slide also incorporates an integrated expansion chamber ahead of the chamber, a gas-management feature that bleeds propellant gas to reduce muzzle rise on fast follow-up shots without adding length the way a muzzle device would. The DH3 serrations and lightening cuts on the slide are part of Daniel Horner’s signature configuration and have a functional component: the cuts reduce reciprocating mass slightly and the aggressive serrations give a reliable purchase for press-checks and manipulations. The 1913 accessory rail on the grip module means standard pistol lights fit directly — no adapter, no proprietary bracket — and holster selection follows standard 1913-rail P365 compatibility rather than the proprietary-rail variants.
