The SIG SAUER CROSS in Bronze Cerakote is built for the shooter who needs a precision bolt-action rifle that travels well — backcountry hunters packing into remote country, and long-range shooters who want a capable platform that doesn’t punish them on the approach. It was developed in Newington, New Hampshire with direct input from military snipers and field hunters, and the design reflects those competing priorities throughout.

The one-piece aluminum receiver eliminates the bedding variables introduced by a two-piece design, which is one of the more meaningful contributors to consistent cold-bore accuracy. The SIG Precision folding stock reduces overall length to 26.5 inches when folded, so the rifle fits a standard pack or case without removing anything — a genuine field advantage over a fixed stock of comparable length of pull. The stock is fully adjustable for both length of pull and cheek height, which matters when swapping between bare-eye and magnified optics at different heights.

The 1:10 right-hand twist rate is a well-established choice for .308 Winchester: it stabilizes projectiles in the 168–175 grain range that long-range bolt-action shooters typically prefer, without over-spinning lighter hunting bullets in the 150-grain class. The stainless taper barrel wears a brushed finish and is threaded 5/8×24, which accommodates the full range of standard muzzle devices and suppressors. A full-length 20-MOA Picatinny rail is machined directly into the receiver, providing both optic mounting and a built-in elevation offset that extends the useful range of most riflescopes. The free-floating M-LOK alloy handguard keeps the barrel contact-free under sling tension or bipod load. Magazines follow the AICS pattern, meaning aftermarket options are straightforward to source. One 5-round magazine is included.
