Description

The SilencerCo 3-Lug Muzzle Device is designed for shooters who want a fast, tool-free way to attach and detach a compatible suppressor. Rather than threading a can directly onto the barrel each time, the 3-lug system uses a rotating mount that locks the suppressor in place with a single twist, making transitions between suppressed and unsuppressed configurations considerably quicker than a standard threaded mount.

This device is built specifically for .45 ACP platforms, and that caliber specificity matters: the bore geometry is matched to the projectile diameter, so pairing it with the correct 3-lug mount — one rated for .45 caliber — keeps the bore axis aligned and prevents baffle strikes. Using a .45 ACP 3-lug device with a smaller-bore suppressor intended for a different cartridge is not interchangeable, and SilencerCo is explicit that the .45 caliber variant must be used with a .45 caliber 3-lug mount.

The 5/8×24 thread pitch is the standard found on most .45 ACP host barrels, so fitment on a properly threaded pistol or carbine barrel is straightforward without adapter rings. Installation is a matter of threading the device onto the muzzle and torquing it down — the suppressor itself then mounts to the lug interface rather than to the barrel threads directly, which reduces wear on those threads over time.
