Description

The SilencerCo ASR Closed-Tine Flash Hider is built for AR-15 and bolt-action rifle owners who want effective flash suppression today and a clean path to running a suppressor later, without swapping muzzle devices when the time comes. The 1/2×28 thread pitch fits the most common barrel threading on .223 and 5.56 platforms, so this is a direct installation for the majority of owners rather than a special-order fitment.

The closed-tine geometry is a deliberate departure from traditional open-prong flash hiders. Where a standard 3-prong or birdcage design leaves gaps between tines, the closed profile eliminates those edges that catch on slings, brush, and gear during carry. It also removes the tuning-fork resonance effect that open prongs produce under the mechanical shock of firing, resulting in a cleaner impulse and less device noise at the shot. The black nitride finish bonds into the steel surface rather than sitting on top of it, which means it handles heat and corrosion without flaking under sustained fire.

The primary reason to choose this flash hider over a standard muzzle device is the ASR mount compatibility.
