SL 578 GLS PRO-FIT CMP BLK LH

Description

The Safariland 578 GLS Pro-Fit is a strong-side carry holster built for concealed or plainclothes use, and this variant is configured for left-hand draw. It suits shooters who carry compact-frame pistols and want a holster that works across multiple handguns without requiring a separate purchase for each one. The Pro-Fit design accommodates a range of pistols in a similar size class—including the Glock 19, 23, and 32—so the holster remains useful even if your carry gun changes over time.

Retention is handled by Safariland’s GLS, or Grip Locking System, which releases the pistol when the middle finger naturally presses a lever on the draw stroke. Because the release motion follows the same mechanics as a normal firing grip, the draw integrates cleanly without requiring a deliberate thumb or index-finger motion at a separate point on the body. Re-holstering locks the firearm back in place automatically. This approach to passive retention means the gun is secured without any manual step to engage the lock.

The holster mounts via a paddle or belt loop—Rural King’s listing identifies it as a slide paddle and belt loop design—so you can switch between belt attachment styles without replacing the holster body. The finish is STX Plain Black, Safariland’s thermoplastic exterior that holds its shape under the pressures of daily carry and resist surface wear without requiring any secondary coating. Left-hand configuration is built into the holster body itself, not an adjustable panel, so the geometry is purpose-made for left-hand draw rather than mirrored from a right-hand mold through hardware changes.
