Description
The Safariland Schema is an inside-the-waistband holster built specifically for the Glock 43 and 43X, aimed at everyday carriers who want reliable concealment without bulk. Its minimalist footprint is a deliberate departure from full-size IWB designs — less material means less printing against the body and more comfort during extended wear.
The holster body is constructed from lightweight polymer with a skeletonized profile, which cuts weight and reduces the surface area pressing against your side throughout the day. Despite that reduced mass, the mouth is reinforced so it stays open after the draw, letting you re-holster with one hand without looking down or collapsing the opening. Passive retention holds the pistol through a trigger guard design that locks the firearm in place without requiring a manual release — the draw clears it, nothing else does.
Cant and ride height are both adjustable, which matters because where a holster sits on the hip and at what angle affects how naturally the grip falls into your hand on the draw. Getting those two dimensions right for your body geometry and carry position is the difference between a holster that works and one that gets left at home. The Schema is also optic-compatible, accommodating a range of small red-dot sights including the Romeo Zero, RMR CC, Shield RMS and RMS-C, Swampfox Sentinel, Hex Wasp, Holosun 407K and 507K, J-Point, and Crimson Trace 1550, so you can run the pistol with a mounted optic without needing a separate holster variant.
