SL 578 GLS PRO-FIT S-CMP BLK RH

Description

The Safariland 578 GLS Pro-Fit is built for concealed carriers and off-duty shooters who want a single holster that works across a broad range of compact and subcompact handguns without sacrificing meaningful retention. The Pro-Fit design allows the holster body to be adjusted to fit over 60 different firearms, so a shooter who carries different pistols on different days — or who upgrades their carry gun — does not necessarily need a new holster to go with it.

Retention is handled by the Grip Lock System, which secures the pistol automatically the moment it seats in the holster. The release is built into the draw stroke itself: applying a normal firing grip causes the middle finger to disengage the lock, meaning the retention mechanism works with how the hand naturally grips the gun rather than requiring a separate thumb sweep or button press. This makes it faster to get the pistol into a fighting grip while also reducing the risk of an unintended release during physical activity.

The holster body is molded from SafariSeven, Safariland’s nylon-based thermoplastic material. It will not abrade a pistol’s finish over time and maintains its dimensional stability across a wide temperature range, which matters for shooters who move between climates or store gear in vehicles. The package includes both an injection-molded paddle and a belt loop attachment, giving the wearer the option to mount the holster either way. The belt loop also allows for a cross-draw configuration. This specific variant is finished in black and configured for right-hand draw, fitting the Glock 26, 27, 30, 30S, 33, and 39, among other compact pistols listed in the compatibility data.
