Description
The Safariland QLS 19 Locking Fork is the holster-side half of Safariland’s Quick Locking System, designed for anyone who needs to move a duty holster or accessory between different mounting platforms without tools and without sacrificing retention security. The fork mounts directly to the back of a compatible holster or accessory, where it engages the QLS 22 Receiver Fork to create a locked connection that can be released with a deliberate single-handed motion. That combination of fast transfer and positive lockup is what separates a dedicated quick-detach system from simple belt loops or paddle mounts, which typically require you to undress or use both hands to reposition a holster.
For carriers who use both a duty belt and a drop-leg or MOLLE platform, the QLS 19 eliminates the need to own separate holsters for each rig — one holster fitted with this fork moves between any number of receiver-equipped mounts. When paired with an MLS 16 adapter threaded through MOLLE webbing, the same fork works on plate carriers and chest rigs as well. Importantly, the system is engineered to maintain Level I retention even after repeated transfers, so the convenience of quick detach does not come at the cost of the pull-resistance a duty holster requires. Construction is hard polymer in a smooth Black finish, keeping weight low and resistance to moisture and corrosion out of the equation entirely.
